well, to start, today was my first day on a boat rowing hard for Dragonboat.. i had to admit, its tough at first, depressing too, when you see no target. We chiong from one buyoncy, to another, can say its 1.5km? haha.. and do it for 4 sets. After these sets, we practice standard charging. Sounds cool? it is;) this is the highlight of today.. Whats amazing, is that how 10 people, with the common goal, can do. With the right timing, the right atitude, the right aggressiveness, and of course teamwork, our boat suddenly become a speedy motor cruiser.. Everyone was amazed by our own speed.. it makes the boat rock up and down. Ya, i didnt explain whats standard charging.. Its a technique use to charge, use mainly in competitions, i will say its back breaking, but effective. It goes like this: 5, 17, 10 rows.. than the command is given: Charging up ready 5, GO. then 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, everyone stands up and row the damm boat haha.. from the trembling hand muscles, now the leg and back muscles are used also.. Finally at 4, we end the training.. To conclude, its tough, but if you wanna be the best, you train with the best, you just dont give up...no matter what shitty shit it is. That's a understatement.
