Ahh.. A naval diver in full suit and gear.. Do i have the qualifications to be like him? i wonder every single day.. Posted by Hello

Dreams and Thoughts(2)

Have you have a dream, a lifelong dream? that.. when you eat, you think of it, when you sleep, you think of it, when you work, you think of it.. its every moment of your life.. and its mine.. People asked me before.. why you wanna be a naval diver? these are a few reasons i thought:
1) To be called a frogman, its a great honor.
2) To possess the skills of a naval diver, specialising either in salvage or underwater demolition is another great honor.
3) To possess a special level of fitness and skills, its rather tempting not to be a naval diver;)
4) To be an elite force, or be call a elite, is another great honor.
5) If in war, i rather be on the frontline, or behind enemy lines, screwing them up rather than be a greenhorn without any skills or any idea.. and have my buddy beside me, who i trust with my life, and i am willing to cover him, and vice versa.. i will trade anything in life for this.
6) Ahh.. did i mention the cool gadgets a diver gets to play? hee.. i love the whole package.. the black suit, hood, knife, frogman's fins, mask and a rather heavy tank? its just amazing to be a diver.
7) Lastly.. well, i think its my calling of my life.. sort of my destiny. Its like a part of my life, i had to accomplish, to be. If not, there is no life if you can fufil what you are set out to do.
8) And finally.. protecting my country, my love ones, are a duty to me. No matter what happen.

Heroes.. are they exist only in comics, in fictions? No.. i think they exist everywhere.. an ordinary man can become a hero in a circumstance.. given his courage and faith. Who are your heroes? Well.. for me, they are always those guys, who did what he has to.. that he is right, regardless of the circumstance.. Ever read or watch the show band of brothers? Frankly i admire the courage and valiant actions of the 101th airborne division in WW2.. ya, they are real people.. who surivived the war.. as paratroopers serving in the United States army from 1942 to 1945.. They are my heroes.. men who are as close as brothers in combat.. who fought and bled together..

I always think.. Life without a goal, or a dream is meanliness.. There's no point in living if you cant find your dream.. what you think?

Thoughts and Dreams..

Whats your dream? your life dream? who do you wanna be, what do you wish to achieve? I am sure everyone got their different dream, of becoming who and achieving.. same here.. i have only 1 achievement and dream, that is to earn the naval diving badge, and be a diver. and somehow.. times passes so fast.. its been already 4 years since i have this goal and dream.. it all started when i was 15.. after going through the basic diving course in NDU, sponsor by NCC.. actually before i went for it, i just wanna earn the prestige badge, and the honor.. but when i finished it.. there's this longing, desire to go back.. seriously, i like diving.. i love the way the divers are trained, their equipment and full suit.. everything i love about it.. and the most, is being recognised as a frogman.. But of course.. to fufil this dream.. takes alot of determination and sacriface.. and i am sitting here, writing this post, thinking, if i have the zest and determination that i had 4 years ago when i trained so hard for the basic diving course.. everyday before sch, i will train, recess, train.. go back home train again. can i do it again?

A quote i remembered: " Hold fast to your dreams, for if dreams die, then life is like a broken bird that cannot fly" sigh.. only left what, 11 months and counting down? damm.. not much time to train up.. i wonder..

Have you ever felt you were dreaming, but then the dream was so real, as if it was reality? today i woke up in the morning feeling all cranky.. weird is that i didnt run last night.. and the body fully felt drain, as if i have been running in my dream.. and again, during afternoon nap.. i woke up muscles used and aching.. what the hell happen? i have no idea...

Love and Understanding

hmm guess you all heard this story before.. but its still a nice one hee..;p i call it a classic, here goes:

They have been married for two years. He loves literature and often posts his work on the net, but nobody ever reads them. He is also into photography and he handle their wedding photos. He loves her very much. Likewise with her. She has a quick temper and always bullies him. He is a gentleman and always gives in to her.

Today, she's being wilful again.

Her : "Why can't you be the photographer for my friend's wedding?
She promised she'd pay."
Him : "I don't have time that day."
Her :"Humph!"
Him : "Huh?"
Her : "Don't have time? Write less of those novels, and you will have all the time you need."
Him : "I... someone will definitely recognize my work some day."
Her : "Humph! I don't care, you'll have to do it for her.! "
Him : "No."
Her : "Just this once?"
Him : "No."

Negotiation's broken. So, she gave the final warning: "Give me a Yes within three days, or else..."

First day. She "withheld" the kitchen, bathroom,
computer, refrigerator, television, hi-fi... Except the double bed, to show her "benevolence".

Of course, she has to sleep on it too. He didn't mind, as he still has some cash in his pockets.

Second day. She conducted a raid and removed everything from his pockets and warned, "Seek any external help, and you bear the consequences."

He's nervous now. That night, on the bed, he begs for mercy, hoping that she'll end this state. She doesn't give a damn. No way am I giving in, whatever he says. Until he agrees.

Third day. Night. On the Bed. He's lying on the bed, looking to one side. She's lying on the bed, looking to the other side.

Him : "We need to talk."
Her : "Unless it's about the wedding, forget it."
Him : "It's something very important."

She remains silent.

Him :"Let's get a divorce."

She did not believe her ears.

Him : "I got to know a girl."

She's totally angry, and wanted to hit him. But she held it down, wanting to let him finish. But her eyes already felt wet. He took a photo out from his chest. Probably from his undershirt pocket, that's the only place she didn't go through yesterday. How careless.

Him : "She's a nice girl."

Her tears fell.

Him : "She has a good personality too."

She's heartbroken because he puts a photo of some other girl close to his heart.

Him : "She says that she'll support me fully in my pursue for literature after we got married."

She's very jealous because she said the same thing in the past.

Him : "She loves me truly. "

She wishes to sit up and scream at him "Don't I?"

Him : "So, I think she won't force me to do something that I don't want to do."

She's thinking, but the rage won't subside.

Him : "Want to take a look at the photo I took for her?"

Her : ".....!"

He brings the photo before he r eyes. She's in a total rage, hits his hand away and leaves a burning slap on his face.

He sighs. She cries.

He puts the photo back to his pocket. She pulls her hand back under the blanket.

He turns off the light, and sleeps. She turns on the light, and sits up. He's asleep. She lost sleep. She regrets treating him the way she treated him.

She cried again, and thought about a lot of things. She wants to wake him up. She wants to have a intimate talk with him. She doesn't want to push him anymore. She stares at his chest. She wants to see how the girl looks.

She slips the photo out. She wanted to cry and she wanted to laugh.

It's a nicely taken photo of herself. A photo he took for her. She bends down, and kissed him on his cheek.

He smiled. He was just pretending to be asleep.

"You learn to love, not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly."

A cloud does not know why it moves in just such a direction and at such speed. It feels an impulsion ... this is the place to go now. But the sky knows the reasons and the patterns behind all clouds, and you will know, too, when you lift yourself high enough to see beyond the horizons.

Why training is good

hmm, just came back from another round of training.. running, pull ups, sit ups and push ups.. damm my hands are shaking as i type this post.. anyway, just wanna share a few tips on training:
1) Always, always, fully stretch and stretch before any workout;p if not, tmn your muscles will feel extremely raw.
2) To run without running out of air, the main thing is to breathe and breathe.. stamina is primary, muscles are secondary.. if you have no stamina, you cant do anything. Trust me.
3) To cover long distances.. spread your hands and legs.. wider the better, swing your arms to cut the air to provide momentum..
4) To do streneous trainings, like 100 pull ups, push ups, you need lots of breathing, again, Breathe and breathe...

Frankly.. all these 4 steps doesnt work all the time.. sometimes, i feel fatigued.. not in tune, and just cant reach the optimal stamina rate.. and the heart just jumps and jumps.. but sometimes, you just can run like the wind.. like nobody's business.. well, life like's that..

Anyway, lastly, remember to Drink lots of water before and after training.. thats all;p

The Prison, Case Study Building

hm the time now is 0434 am.. and i am writing this post..been doing the group project much lately.. its a site analysis and a case study of a building.. and bless my group, we got to do tropical buildings.. but, thank God we found a building in singapore, its United Medicare Centre at Toa Payoh.. basically its a nursing home for elderly, housing 242 beds, 85percent are female.. we visited the nursing home this afternoon.. hmm, my first impression was.. well, that look like a prison.. with all the steel bars and narrow corridors.. hee, but anyway its a good design.. though level 2 and 3 are steam area.. the ventilation is poor at these two levels.. but as we move up, there's more air circulation, 4, 5, 6 are better.. Anyway, the worst was the lift.. wonder why the speed is so _____ slow.. we found the sunshading devices of the building, somewhat.. maybe misleading, hee, need further evidence to proof it works..

Pros:
-Very cheap maintenace of building(only aircon on level 1)the rest are fans and "natural ventilated" spaces
-Interesting "Cage" design, but seriously the air ventilated space at level 4 is quite cool
-Architect responds to climatic conditions, or should i said, tried to;p
-There's a interaction space at level 1 that can be airconditioned as well as natural ventilated
-Services are all covered and located at edges of building
-Air well 55percent successfully
-Staircase very well ventilated

Cons:
-Narrow spaces, prison design
-Lift too damm slow
-Sunshading may not work
-Spaces cramped

hmm, in personal view, this building is alrite.. if got more airconditioned spaces, it will be good.. wanna give the eldery comfort, since they are so old already.. why make them suntanned and sweat?;p the sunshading devices clinged on the building makes it stand out.. looks impressive at night.. it can be further improved though..

Anyway, if anyone here wish to emm.. lossen some excess weight, try walking, or running, it really helps.. oh, at 3 to 4.. you really pespire, especially when its damm humid.. walked from site to Toa Payoh Central, 10 mins, and woah.. its good training already.. my rest of the team took a cab><, well.. nvm;p

Below are a few pics of the building and also Site.Enjoy;)

Nite View of building, nice eh? hee;p Posted by Hello

Notice the celing, a aircon ventilator and 6 fans.. this space can be converted into either 1 of them.. Posted by Hello

The Special Space of the whole building.. purpose to sun shade, and maybe give some wind.. i think;p Posted by Hello

What did i do to deserve such a fate to be cage up?>< Posted by Hello
